What is Yield?
Yield is the usable quantity a recipe or ingredient actually produces, compared with what went in or what was planned. A low yield raises the real cost of every portion.
When a cook records a batch in Bhookly, the system shows whether it made more or less than planned and puts the result on the shelf with a use-by date. Reports compare cooking yield by cook, and what the kitchen used with what the recipes say it should have used.
