Bhookly started with a simple frustration: running a restaurant in Pakistan meant juggling paper, WhatsApp groups, spreadsheets and a delivery app that took a cut of everything. We are building one system that replaces all of it.
Pakistan's restaurants run from late-night dhabas to fine dining, cloud kitchens to cafés. The software behind them was built for another market, or was a paper ledger, or was a delivery app renting customers back to the owner for a commission.
Bhookly is one system for the counter, the floor, the kitchen and the back office. The till takes the order and the kitchen display cooks it. The recipe takes the ingredients out of stock and puts a margin on the dish. The night ends with a guided count of cash, card and online, and the Z report reaches the owner's inbox.
Around that sit the parts that bring guests back without a marketplace in the middle: your own ordering website in one of twelve designs, a QR on every table, ordering on WhatsApp, a stamp card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, eight marketing automations, your own branded app, and self-order kiosks in early access.
Today restaurants across Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad run their shifts on Bhookly. We're just getting started.
What we believe
- Every rupee has a name against it
- No sale is rung before the drawer is counted. Voids, comps and refunds need a manager PIN. The void, day-close and tax logs cannot be edited or deleted. An owner should be able to know tonight whether the till is short, and who was on it.
- Built from what went wrong in real restaurants
- Many of the safeguards exist because of something that happened. One restaurant's milk stock reached minus 386 litres from a unit mistake, so a recipe line that costs more than the dish now blocks saving. One dine-in bill stayed open for seven weeks, so the dashboard flags bills left open too long.
- Made for Pakistan
- Rupees, bank card deals, WhatsApp, and receipts filed with FBR, PRA and KPRA. The Windows and Android apps keep taking orders, printing kitchen tickets and taking payment through load-shedding and an internet cut.
