What is Void?

A void is the cancellation of an item or order after it has been entered into the POS. Untracked voids are one of the commonest ways cash and food leave a restaurant.

In Bhookly, voiding an item already sent to the kitchen needs a reason and a manager PIN, and prints "DO NOT MAKE" in the kitchen. The till asks whether the dish was made, and a made dish writes its ingredients off as waste. The void log records who voided, who approved, why and the value, flags voids approved by the same person who made them, and cannot be edited or deleted.
