What is Kitchen Display System (KDS)?

A Kitchen Display System (KDS) is a screen in the kitchen that shows each order the moment it is sent, replacing or working alongside printed kitchen tickets. Tickets are timed and colour-coded, so a late order is visible from across the kitchen.

On Bhookly's kitchen display, orders appear as cards in Preparing and Ready lanes. Each ticket runs green, amber, red, then flashing against a target prep time, and the clock starts when the order is fired. Each station, such as grill, bar or tandoor, has its own board and clears only its own dishes, and the last station completes the order.
