What is Fiscal invoice?

A fiscal invoice is a sales receipt that has been reported to the tax authority and carries the authority's invoice number and QR code. In Pakistan, restaurants issue them through FBR, or a provincial authority such as PRA in Punjab and KPRA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Bhookly files each sale with FBR, PRA or KPRA at payment and prints the official number and QR on the receipt. If the authority's service is down, the sale completes and the filing retries, and a sale is never filed twice. The tax report compares tax charged with tax filed, ready for the return.
