What is Average order value (AOV)?

Average order value (AOV) is total revenue divided by the number of orders over a period: the typical amount a customer spends per order. Raising it is one of the cheapest ways to grow revenue without more footfall.

Bhookly's dashboard shows the average bill for today against the previous period. Paid add-ons are offered on the options sheet every time, and the ordering website's basket has a "Popular with your order" rail and a nudge towards the minimum order.
